I am Julie McMahon, an artist and designer passionate about Cyanotype, an historic photographic technique that transforms the ephemeral into the eternal, capturing the essence of nature’s delicate beauty with unrivalled precision and grace.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Rooted in a profound appreciation for the timeless craft of Cyanotype, my journey began with a desire to preserve the intricate beauty of the natural world. Drawing inspiration from the Victorian era, when this process was first developed, I have honed my craft, blending traditional techniques with contemporary aesthetics. At the heart of my practice lies an unwavering commitment to craftsmanship and authenticity. Each Cyanotype lampshade is meticulously handcrafted, using the finest materials and techniques historical and innovated. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

This labour-intensive process involves coating paper or fabric with light-sensitive solution, arranging natural objects, and exposing them to sunlight to create ethereal blueprints. The result is a unique work of art that captures the fleeting beauty of nature in exquisite detail.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
